Application toolbar

Description

The application toolbar is located at the top left of the application screen. It contains icon buttons for actions that apply to the entire application and should be accessed from any workspace.

The current default commands accessed from the global application toolbar are: Global Search, Conversations, Notifications, and User Preferences.

When to use

Use if you want to provide you users with some actions that should be available regardless of which workspace they are on.

Variations

The contents of the toolbar can be customized at the application level, but they are not contextual to the workspace.

Interactions

Click the button to open a dialog, menu, or workspace.
