Deployment

The Deployment layer enables you to manage your deployment environments for servers and connections, including staging, user acceptance, performance, and production.

Model Description Language elements

• Environment - An environment represents physical system configurations and combines server and connection settings into one convenient file.
• Server - A server specifies it's type (for example, Generic for NexJ Server) and various other settings to support deployment.
  
• Connections - Connections contain deployment settings for data sources and channels.
  
• Properties - not actually part of the XML specification.  Simple properties file to manage settings more efficiently in environments, servers, and connections.
• Deployment - Represents a cluster of specialized servers and environments.
  
• Test - A server test script used for performance and functional testing.
