Activities, tasks, and schedule items

This section describes how to use NexJ CRM to create and manage the following:

  • ActivitiesNot included in the 9.5 release:You can identify activities that belong to an activity plan from the data table in the Activities tab. Activities that are part of an activity plan will be indicated with an icon and number displaying its position in the activity plan.
  • TasksA task is a type of activity, assigned to one or more users, that does not need to occur at a defined time. The Tasks workspace enables you to leverage search and filter capabilities, display more information in a larger working space, and manage tasks. For example, you can add a follow-up task on the Tasks workspace when further actions are required by one or more users after a meeting with a contact. You can then modify the task as required and, when the task is done, mark the task as complete
  • Schedule itemsThe Schedule workspace is a visual representation of your and other users’ schedules. You can manage schedule items in the main calendar and open schedule items to retrieve information. A schedule item is a type of action item that has defined start and end times, such as a meeting or phone call.

You can copy text and paste it into the Notes field for an activity, task, or schedule item. When your cursor is in a Notes field, you can press Ctrl+V to paste copied text from your clipboard into the Notes field or right-click in the Notes field and select Paste.
