Editing exit actions to business process templates

Edit exit actions for a business process template when you want to change what emails, field updates, tasks, activity plans, or service calls are triggered when the business process is approved or rejected. You can also change the order of exit actions.

Before starting this task, ensure that you have deactivated the business process template. You cannot modify active templates.

To edit exit actions for a business process template:

  1. Navigate to the Customize workspace.
  2. In the Business Processes tab, select the template in which you want to edit exit actions. Then, select the Exit Actions subtab.
  3. If you want to edit an exit action:
    1. Click the Action button for the approval or rejection action that you want to edit, then select Edit.
      The Edit Action dialog opens.
    2. In the corresponding fields, make your desired changes to the exit action.
      The Edit Action dialog closes.
  4. If you want to change the order of exit actions:
    1. Select an approval or rejection exit action.
    2. Click the Up or Down buttons to move the exit action's order in the list.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.

You have edited the exit action for the business process template. The modified exit action will be triggered the next time that the business process is approved or rejected.
