Activating flow templates

Activate a flow template to make it available in business process and call script templates. Deactivate a flow template when you want to make changes to it.

When you activate a flow template, its status is set to active and business processes and call scripts that use the flow template can be activated. When you deactivate a flow template, its status is set to inactive and editing is enabled for the template.

If you deactivate a flow template that is currently being used in a flow, changes that you make to the flow template will also be made to the instance of the template in the business process or call script.

To activate or deactivate a flow template:

  1. Navigate to the Customize workspace.
  2. Select the Form Library tab. A list of all flow templates displays on the left.
  3. If you want to activate a template, right-click the flow template, and select Activate. The flow template is activated and its status is set to Active.
  4. If you want to deactivate a template, right-click the flow template, and select Deactivate to Edit. If the flow template is currently being used in a flow, a dialog displays to confirm that you want to deactivate the template. Click Yes to confirm. If you want to see the list of business processes and call scripts that currently use the flow template, click the here link. The flow template is deactivated and its status is set to Inactive.

You have activated or deactivated the flow template. If you have activated the template, you can now activate business process and call script templates that use the flow template. If you have deactivated the template, you can edit the template, then activate it when you want to use it.
