Configuring connections

In business process and call script templates, connections link together nodes in a form's flow.

Before configuring connections:

  • Ensure that you have deactivated the template. You cannot modify active templates.
  • Ensure that you have added page nodes to the form flow.

Connecting page nodes in form flows

Create connections between page nodes in a flow to specify the order in which pages display in the form.

To connect page nodes in a form flow:

  1. Navigate to the Customize workspace.
  2. In the Business ProcessesCall Management, or Lead Management tab, select the template in which you want to connect page nodes. If you selected a business process template, select the Form subtab.
  3. In the Flow tab, in the flow area, click the dot on the bottom of the desired page node, then drag and drop a connection to the dot on the top of the page or decision node that you want to direct the flow to. An arrow appears with the arrowhead pointing toward the page or decision node.

The page node is now connected to the other node in the form flow.

Connecting decision nodes in form flows

Create connections to and from decision nodes to direct a flow between pages in the form.

To connect decision nodes in a form's flow:

  1. Navigate to the Customize workspace.
  2. In the Business Processes, Call Management, or Lead Management tab, select the template in which you want to connect a decision nodes. If you selected a business process template, select the Form subtab.
  3. In the Flow tab, in the flow area, click the dot on the bottom of the desired page node, then drag and drop a connection to the dot on the top of the decision node that you want to direct the flow to. An arrow appears with the arrowhead pointing toward the decision node.
  4. Click the dot on the left of the decision node and drag and drop a connection to the dot on the top of the page node that you want to direct the flow to when the decision node evaluates to true. An arrow with the label True appears with the arrowhead pointing toward the page node.
  5. Click the dot on the right of the decision node and drag and drop a connection to the dot on the top of the page node that you want to direct the flow to when the decision node evaluates to false. An arrow with the label False appears with the arrowhead pointing toward the page node.

The decision node now conditionally connects the pages in the form flow.

Removing connections from form flows

Remove connections from nodes when you want to change how the flow moves between the nodes in the form.

To remove connections from a form flow:

  1. Navigate to the Customize workspace.
  2. In the Business Processes, Call Management, or Lead Management tab, select the template in which you want to add a page node. If you select a business process template, select the Form subtab.
  3. In the Flow tab, in the flow area, find the connection that you want to remove and click the Delete button .

The connection between the nodes is deleted.
