Configuring portlets
You can configure the portlet contents that are displayed to specific users, user types, or every user system-wide in the Portlet subtab on the Personalization page.
Typically, a developer configures portlets in NexJ Studio. Before using this functionality, contact your NexJ representative.
You can specify which tabs and grid columns are displayed in the portlet. You can also specify the order of the grid columns. A grid column is a column that displays in a list.
You can also specify portlet-specific operations for the application level toolbar. For example, a schedule report, which can only be run in the specific context of scheduling, may have a fixed toolbar button attached to the SchedulePortlet. This button will only display in the toolbar in workspaces containing the SchedulePortlet.
To configure a portlet:
Your changes are saved and the portlet you have configured displays as customized in the Portlets list. Customized portlets also display in the Advanced tab.
If the application you have just modified is currently running, logged-in users will have to reset the user interface in order for the changes to take effect. You can also use NexJ Admin Console to clear the client state for individual users.
