Customizing tabs in forms

When you customize a screen or portlet, the changes that you make display in the Advanced tab on the Personalization page. You can show or hide tabs for a form and customize the order in which tabs display in the form.

Typically, a developer configures screens and portlets in NexJ Studio. Before using this functionality, contact your NexJ representative.

To customize tabs in a form:

  1. Navigate to the Personalization page and select the Advanced tab.
  2. In the Personalized subtab, select a screen or portlet that you have customized.
  3. In the Layouts subtab, select a form that you have modified. Tabs for the form display in the Tabs area.
  4. If you want to hide a tab in the form, clear the checkbox beside a tab.
  5. If you want to change the order in which tabs display in a form:
    1. Double-click the number that corresponds to a tab.
    2. Enter a new value for the tab.
    3. Click the Save button .
    4. Click the up arrow to update the display order of tabs in the Tabs area.
  6. If you want to hide a tab in the form, clear the checkbox beside a tab.

The form is updated.

If the application you have just modified is currently running, logged-in users will have to reset the user interface in order for the changes to take effect. You can also use NexJ Admin Console to clear the client state for individual users.
