Regionalization

NexJ CRM provides regionalization functionality that allows you to display the application in the format and language specific to your region. Regionalization features include language localization, date, time, address, and telephone number formatting, and currency conversion.

You can select a locale to specify the language, dates, and times that display in NexJ CRM. You can also specify a default country to use for addresses and telephone number formatting. Administrators can configure fields in NexJ CRM to display monetary values in another currency.

Language localization

You can set the display language for NexJ CRM. To change the display language, select a locale in your user preferences. Text in elements such as tabs and fields are then translated into the language of the selected locale. The selected locale also sets the language used for reports generated from NexJ CRM.

The language for a selected locale displays only if translations are available. If a translation is not available, the language defaults to English (United States).

Date and time formatting

You can configure NexJ CRM to display dates and times in your preferred format. To change date and time formatting, select a locale in your user preferences. You can set the following locale preferences:

Locale
Determines the date, time, and currency format in NexJ CRM and in reports generated from the application.

The locale determines three date formats: long, medium, and short. For example, the long, medium, and short representations for January 31, 2015 in the English (United States) locale are:

  • January 31, 2015
  • Jan 31, 2015
  • 31-01-15

Notification/Email Locale
Determines the language of email notifications that you receive from NexJ CRM.

Address and telephone number formatting

You can configure NexJ CRM to use your country for addresses and telephone numbers. Specify a default country in your user preferences. The default country determines the country that populates in new addresses and the country code and format that applies to new telephone numbers.

For example, if your default country is set to United States of America, when you create a new telephone number for a contact, the +1 country code is set as the telephone number prefix and the number you enter is checked to ensure that it is 10 digits in length. If you need to input a telephone number for a different region or format, you can select the corresponding country or set the country to Unspecified to enter a free-form telephone number.

Currency formatting and conversion

NexJ CRM can perform currency conversion in specific fields based on the current day's exchange rate or the exchange rate on a given day.

Your administrator must have enabled and configured currency conversion for your environment.

Setting region and language preferences

Set your region and language preferences in NexJ CRM to specify how the date, time, and language display.

You can configure the following region and language preferences:

The language for a selected locale displays only if translations are available. If a translation is not available, the language defaults to English (United States).

Notification/Email Locale
