Managing business processes

A business process is a predefined form and a series of approval steps that a NexJ CRM user can use to record and update information about their contacts, companies, opportunities, and service requests.

Although it can be possible to manually update the record for a contact, company, opportunity, or service request, you might not have the appropriate permissions to edit the information directly, or you might be required to receive approval when you want to make certain changes to records. Business processes allow you to follow a defined workflow and approval process to gather and modify information about your contacts, companies, opportunities, and service requests.

You can start business processes in the Business Processes tab in the Contacts workspace, Opportunities workspace, or Service Requests workspace.
