Modify a business process when you want to change details such as who it is assigned to, which accounts it is associated with, or what additional activities need to be performed.
If you have not yet submitted the business process, you can make changes to its details, steps, associations, follow-ups, attachments, and security settings.
To modify a business process:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace to modify a business process for a contact or company. Navigate to the Opportunities workspace to modify a business process for an opportunity. Navigate to the Service Requests workspace to modify a business process for a service request.
- Select the contact, company, opportunity, or service request for which you want to modify a business process.
The record for the selected contact, company, opportunity, or service request is displayed. - Click the Business Processes tab.
A list of all business processes for the contact, company, opportunity, or service request is displayed. - Click the Action button for the business process that you want to modify, then select Edit.
The Edit dialog opens. - Make your desired changes to the business process.
You can make changes in the following tabs:
Details
Contains general information about the business process, such as its description and assignees.
Steps
Contains approval steps that are assigned to users when the business process is submitted.
Related
Contains associations and follow-up activities for the business process.
Attachments
Contains documents and images that are related to the business process.
Security
Contains view security settings, which control who can see instances of the business process. Click OK to save your changes to the business process.
The Edit dialog closes.
Your changes to the business process are saved.
