Reviewing business processes

Review a business process when you want to read the reviewer's rejection notes and make the desired changes to the form.

Before starting this task, ensure that you have restarted the rejected business process, otherwise you will not be able to edit the form.

To review a business process:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts workspace to review a business process for a contact or company. Navigate to the Opportunities workspace to review a business process for an opportunity. Navigate to the Service Requests workspace to review a business process for a service request.
  2. Select the contact, company, opportunity, or service request for whom you want to review a business process.
The record for the selected contact, company, opportunity, or service request opens.
  3. Click the Business Processes tab.
A list of all business processes for the contact, company, opportunity, or service request is displayed.
  4. Click the Action button  for the business process that you want to review, then select Dock.
A new business process workspace opens.
  5. Click the Steps tab.
A list of all completed steps for the business process is displayed.
  6. Hover your mouse over the name of the step whose rejection notes you want to review.
Rejected steps have their outcome set to Rejected.
A pop-up is displayed that contains the details of the step.
  7. In the pop-up, read the rejection notes that were entered in the Notes field by the reviewer.
  8. Click the Form tab.
    The current form is displayed.
  9. Based on the reviewer's notes, make the desired changes to the answers in the form.
  10. When you are ready to submit the form for approval, click Submit.

    Info

The Submit button is only available when you are on the last page of the form. You must provide all required answers and correct any validation errors before the form can be submitted.

You have now reviewed the business process and made the desired changes to the form. The approval steps from the business process will now be assigned to their corresponding users, who can then review the submitted form and either approve or reject it. Changes can no longer be made to the form unless it is rejected by one of the reviewers, then restarted.
