Managing opportunity teams

You can add, delete, or change the details of the users and coverage groups associated with an opportunity.

Team members can edit and view opportunities they are associated with.

To modify an opportunity team:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Navigate to the Opportunities workspace. Select the opportunity for which you want to modify the opportunity team. Select the Detail tab and find the Team section.
    • Navigate to the Contacts workspace. In the Journal tab of the desired contact, in the Opportunities subtab, select the opportunity for which you want to modify the opportunity team. Select the Team tab.
    Information about the existing users and coverage groups associated with the opportunity is displayed.
  2. To add one or more users to the team, click the Add button and select User.
    In the Select Users dialog that appears, for each user you want to add, select the user, specify the coverage role, and click Add. To save the changes and close the dialog, click OK.
    The user or users are displayed on the Team tab.
  3. [Optional] To delete a user, click the Action button  and select Delete.
    In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Delete again.
    The user is removed from the Team tab.
  4. To edit a user's information, click the Action button  and select Edit.
    In the dialog that appears, make the required changes and click OK.
    The updated information about the user appears on the Team tab.
  5. To add a coverage group to the team, click the Add button  and select Coverage Group.
    In the Select Coverage Group dialog that appears, select the coverage group, and click OK.
    The members of the coverage group are displayed on the Team tab.
  6. [Optional] To delete a coverage group, click the Remove Coverage Group button and select the name of the group you want to delete.
    In the confirmation dialog that appears, click Delete again.
    All the members of the coverage group are removed from the Team tab.

The opportunity team is now updated.
