Reporting

Reports enable you to extract and present business information from the system.

A report is a specific type of file that can extract information from the NexJ CRM database to be presented in an organized manner.

Use reports to provide in-depth information about an area of interest, such as a group of contacts, or to summarize information across multiple areas, such as interactions between users and leads.

You can generate two types of reports:

Ad hoc reports
An ad hoc report is a runtime-configurable report that allows users to determine its content, by selecting, filtering, and sorting information from NexJ CRM.

Predefined reports
Reports that display information from a specific workspace in a predefined format. For example, a Detail Report displays information from the Contacts workspace for a single contact or list of contacts. Generate predefined reports when you want to report information for a specific area of the system in a predetermined format.

Generate ad hoc reports on the Ad Hoc Reports workspace. Generate predefined reports using the Reports button on the Contacts, Events, Opportunities, Schedules, and Service Requests workspaces. You can view generated ad hoc reports in NexJ CRM . You can output both generated ad hoc and predefined reports to a specific file format to view, save, and share.

Generate predefined reports when you need to report information for a contact based on predefined settings. Generate ad hoc reports when you want to determine which data extracted from NexJ CRM should be contained in the report.
