You can view profile, journal entry, portfolio, and opportunity information for a contact.
A contact's profile contains the contact's banner, notes, conversations, communication methods, and addresses. You can view a contact's profile on the Profile page on the Contacts workspace.
To view a contact's profile:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace.
- In the contact list, touch the desired contact, then touch Profile.
The contact's profile displays in the details view on the right side of the screen.

Searching for contacts
Journal entries are activities and other items associated with a contact such as documents, emails, event meetings, notes, schedule items, and tasks. View a contact's journal entries on the Journal page on the Contacts workspace.
When you open the Journal page, the full list of journal entries displays for the selected contact. You can apply filters to find a specific journal entry more easily.
To view a contact's journal entries:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace.
- Select the contact you want to view journal entries for and touch Journal.
The contact's journal opens. - [Optional] To filter the list of journal entries, touch a filter drop-down and select a filter to apply:
Any Type
Specifies the journal entry type, for example, schedule items or tasks.
Any Status
Specifies whether the journal entry is canceled, completed, outstanding, or restarted.
Any Date
Specifies the time period in which the journal entry is due, for example, in the next 2 weeks. - [Optional] To search journal entries by activity type or description, enter search terms in the Description field, then touch Return on your virtual keyboard.
- [Optional] To view details of a journal entry:
- Touch the journal entry.
The details page opens. The details page displays information such as the names of contacts associated with the journal entry, journal entry notes, attachments, and the interaction date. - To open journal attachments, in the Attachments field, touch the attached file.
The attachment either opens in a new browser tab or downloads to your default download directory, depending on your tablet's configuration.
The most recent journal entries display at the top of the list.
Adding notes to contacts
Access a contact's portfolio through the Portfolio page. The portfolio contains information about the contact's accounts, holdings, and transactions.
You can use the Accounts and Holdings buttons to view a contact's accounts and holdings. You can view transactions for both accounts and holdings and you can examine holdings related to specific accounts. As well, you can search and filter accounts and holdings to find a specific account or holding.
You can view account information for a contact. You can filter accounts by account type and account status. You can also search accounts by account number.
To view accounts for a contact:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace.
- Select the contact whose account details you want to view, touch Portfolio, then touch Accounts.
The account summary page opens. - To filter the list of accounts, touch a filter drop-down and select a filter to apply:
Any Type
Specifies the account type, for example, 401(K) or RESP.
Any Status
Specifies whether the account is open or closed. - To search accounts by account number, enter a value in the Account Number field.
- To view details of an account:
- Touch the account that you want to view further information for.
The details page opens. The details page displays information such as the account type, number, and owner. - To view account holdings, touch Holdings.
Account holdings display in the holdings list. - To view account transactions, touch Transactions.
Account transactions display in the transactions list.
You have viewed a contact's accounts.
You can view holding information for a contact. You can filter accounts by account management type and holding status. You can also search holdings by name.
To view holdings for a contact:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace.
- Select the contact whose holdings details you want to view, touch Portfolio, then touch Holdings.
The holdings summary page opens. - To filter the list of holdings, touch a filter drop-down and select a filter to apply:
Management Type
Specifies whether the holding is dealer managed, referred, tracked externally, or tracked internally.
Status
Specifies whether the holding is active or inactive. - To search holdings by name, enter a holding name in the Holding Name field.
- To view details of a holding, touch the holding that you want to view further information for.
The details page opens. The details page displays information about the holding.
You have viewed a contact's holdings.
You can view opportunities related to a contact.
To view opportunities for a contact:
- Navigate to the Contacts workspace.
- Select the contact you want to view opportunities for and touch Opportunities.
The contact's opportunities display. - To filter the list of opportunities, touch a filter drop-down and select a filter to apply:
Any Type
Specifies whether the opportunity is a parent or product opportunity.
Any Status
Specifies whether the opportunity is closed or open.
Any Stage
Specifies the opportunity's stage, for example, initial visit, prospecting, or final review.
Any Template
Specifies the opportunity's template, for example, mutual fund or mortgage. - To view details of an opportunity, touch the opportunity.
The details page opens. The details page displays information such as the expected opportunity amount and close date, conversations related to the opportunity, notes, product information, and team and related contacts information.
