Managing your tasks using your tablet

Manage your own tasks and track the tasks you have assigned to other users from the Tasks workspace on your tablet.

The two buttons at the top of the Tasks workspace provide the following two views:

My Tasks
List of your tasks in reverse chronological order, with the current date at the top.

My Delegated Tasks
Lists the tasks that you have assigned to other users.

Adding tasks for yourself

Add tasks for yourself from your tablet device.

To add a task for yourself:

  1. In the top right corner of the screen, touch Add and select Task.
    The Select Template dialog opens.
  2. Select the template for the type of task you want to create.
  3. Enter your desired values in the fields, but leave the Assign To value as your name.

    You can associate the task with contacts by adding them to the For field.

  4. Touch Save.


The task is created and you can view it in the Tasks workspace.

Adding tasks for others

Add tasks for others, also called delegated tasks, in the Tasks workspace.

To add a task for someone else:

  1. In the top right corner of the screen, touch Add and select Task.
    The Select Template dialog opens.
  2. Select the template for the type of task you want to create.
  3. In the Assign To field, add the user who will own this task.
  4. Enter your desired values in the remaining fields.

    You can associate the task with contacts by adding them to the For field.

  5. Touch Save.

The task is created and assigned to the user or users you selected in the Assign To field. You can view this task in the My Delegated Tasks page in the Tasks workspace.

Viewing your tasks

View your tasks in the My Tasks view in the Tasks workspace.

To view your tasks:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks workspace.
  2. Touch My Tasks.
    The list of your tasks, sorted with the most recent task at the top of the list, appears.

You have now viewed your tasks.

Viewing your delegated tasks

View the tasks that you have assigned to other users from the My Delegated Tasks view in the Tasks workspace.

To view your delegated tasks:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks workspace.
  2. Touch My Delegated Tasks.

Your delegated tasks open.

Filtering task lists

When you open the Tasks workspace, the full list of your tasks is displayed by default. To help you find a particular task, you can apply filters to the list. There are three filters in the Tasks workspace.

To filter tasks:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks workspace.
  2. Touch the desired menu and then touch the specific filter by which to narrow the list:

    Type
    Narrows the list by the selected type of task.
    Status
    Narrows the list by the selected task status: Cancelled, Completed, or Outstanding.
    Date
    Narrows the list by the selected date range.

The filtered results appear with the most recent tasks at the top of the list.

Editing tasks

You can edit tasks in NexJ CRM using your tablet.

To edit a task:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks workspace.
  2. In the My Tasks page or the My Delegated Tasks page, touch the task that you want to make changes to.
  3. Touch Edit.
  4. Make your changes to the task and then touch Save.

The task is now edited and can be viewed in the Tasks workspace.
