Creating environment files
In NexJ Studio, you configure your model to work in a particular environment with an Environment File.
Environment files represent logical and physical system configurations for environments such as development, testing, staging, and production. Each environment configures your model for use with specific application servers, databases, log-ons, server configurations, and integration connections. During the development process, you can create a single environment for each system, or use property files to reuse most of the setting in an environment file for different environments.
Environment files are maintained in the env folder of your project. Global environment files for deploying published models are stored in the folder specified by the Global environment folder preference. The Global environment folder is set in NexJ Studio from the menu bar by selecting Window > Preferences > NexJ Studio.
