Enabling application features
Application features are features that are enabled for all users in NexJ CRM. You can enable and view the status of application features in the Global Application Settings page in NexJ Admin Console. You can also use this page to specify certain application-wide values or settings.
Certain features that display in the Global Application Settings page are editable only during your NexJ application deployment. These features are identified by the lock icon next to the feature name.
Features and values in the Global Application Settings page are organized by group. The following information is listed for each feature or value.
Name
The name of the feature.
Description
The description of the feature.
State
Indicates whether the feature is enabled or disabled. For options that contain application-wide settings or values, this column displays the value. It also displays an icon to indicate which format is expected for the value, such as numeral, date, or string.
To enable and disable application features, or to specify an application-wide value associated with a feature:
- [Optional] To narrow or group the list of features, filter by feature group, feature name, or both:
- In Group, select the group name of the feature.
- In Name, type the feature name.
- Click Run.
In the features list, click the Action button for the feature that you want to enable or disable, then select Edit.
You cannot edit any features that are configurable only during NexJ application deployment. These features are identified by the lock icon next to the feature name.
An Edit dialog for the feature or value opens.
- Do one of the following:
- Select or clear the Enabled checkbox for the feature.
- Specify the value in the Value field. The expected value format is indicated by the icon displayed next to the value.
- Click OK. The Edit dialog closes.
The changes you make to enable or disable the feature or specify a value take immediate effect.
