Loading data in a form

You can use a query to load data when users visit a form for the first time.

Typically, a developer configures forms in NexJ Studio. Before using this functionality, contact your NexJ representative.

To load data in a form:

  1. Navigate to the Personalization page and select the Advanced tab.
  2. In the Personalized subtab, select a screen or portlet that you have customized.
  3. In the Queries subtab, select a form that you have modified.
  4. In the Selection Criteria subtab, click the Add button A new row displays below the Selection Criteria subtab.
  5. In the row, click in the Description column. A description field displays in the Description column.
  6. In the description field, enter a description of the query.
  7. Click the expand button  beside the query description. The Where Clause field displays in the Description column.
  8. In the Where Clause field, enter your query.
  9. Click the Save button .

You have added a query that loads data in form when users visit the form for the first time.

If the application you have just modified is currently running, logged-in users will have to reset the user interface in order for the changes to take effect. You can also use NexJ Admin Console to clear the client state for individual users.
